Re: Prescott Line is a fine running backAnd he got 1 yard on that one carry.

Re: Prescott Line is a fine running back
That's pretty much the same reason that A. Peterson gets more yards rushing than me. He gets all the damn carries. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Prescott Line is a fine running back
I think you are putting too much into 1 carry. Zach even got caught behind the line a few times. Look both young men are fine RB's. No reason to down either. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Prescott Line is a fine running backBut on the one carry for KC, did you see how deep he went into the line of scrimmage ... then exploded out of it and took it outside. If he would have immediately taken it up north when he cleared the corner he would have had a nice gain. He made a mistake to keep it outside and the angles got him. But that was some serious quickness, good feet and hips he showed. The kid has not run the ball in a game situation since high school. Until the few carries against TT, he has not touched the ball in 3 years. I like what I see, and would like to see more. PL seems to be the better blocker right now, how much I don't know. PL is going to run hard and give you a rumble tumble for 2-4 yards and occasionally 8-12. They both have their role. But I like the long term potential of KC as a pure RB. If Snead comes back 100%, I think they all make for a nice rotation.
Re: Prescott Line is a fine running backI was responding to your comment on the passing yards. Again, Lime ran well and will be a good back for us just like his brother. I would also like to see Nlemchi get some chances as well. Bur It won't matter anyway cause as soon as Shead gets back, Nlemchi goes back to riding the pine, which I happen to think is a shame. Against a pretty good MSU defense he not only looked the part but played the part. He was a major reason we won that game. Both will do their part. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Prescott Line is a fine running back
Pretty good might be an overstatement since that MSU defense just gave up 52 to SFA. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Prescott Line is a fine running back
Why are we so caught up in this binary view of this situation. The RB position has evolved. Even the best rb's in the country share time in the backfield. Alabama has about 4 kids that they rotate, why couldn't we do the same with KC and Line P, if they are our 2 best backs?
Re: Prescott Line is a fine running backAlabama's backs run farther. They need more rest.
