The game the reporters were at was vs. UNT at noon, and it was POURING down rain.
My friend was at the game and had this to say "was packed at kick off, given the opponent and especially the weather."
The entire stadium will be packed for the LSU game this weekend, I can assure you of that.

But yes I agree, this problem spreads to every campus across the country. College kids want to be connected (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), and not having access in the stadium really turns them off (my sister is a junior at ole miss, and she complains about it at the games).
Also, the games take well over 3.5 hours to complete with all of the TV timeouts, half-time, etc. A lot of kids just don't have the attention span for that, especially if it is against a lesser/uninteresting foe.
The fact that most every game is on TV (in crystal clear HD) has for better or for worse completely changed the way people watch games. Why sit out in the 90 sun / 40 snow, when you can watch from the comfort of your couch...?
