You do realize the TCU contingent heavily outnumbered the SMU base, right? TCU was ranked #4 and was on its way to the Rose Bowl. Not a good example.

Granted I've had at least one beer since then, but I remember them taking up from behind the north end zone and completely around the east side, save for a couple of student sections and the band.

Yup. SMU brought a LAAAAAAARGE number of fans to that game. More than 3/4 of the stadium wore RED. Only the visitors section and the lawn area had purple (Yes, TCU brought a good number of fans) But point is, we packed our house!

OK now ask yourself why it was TCU 95% to SMU's 5% in FT Worth this year

This is what I heard from people who didn't go to the TCU Game:

1) "It's all the way out there in Fort Worth!"
2) "Oh no, it's going to rain during that game"
3) "Why would I want to see SMU get it's butt kicked?"
4) "Tickets are too expensive"
5) "I don't know about our team this year..."
6) "TCU is really good and we don't stand a chance, why waste the money...I'll just see them play at the next home game"

June has admitted that he only beats teams who have equal or less talented players than he does. TCU clearly has more talent, thus why go? He himself provided an easy algorithm for fans deciding to whether or not to travel: do they have better players than we do?

See, that's the ironic thing about his complaining; his offense was supposed to "level the playing field" so descrepencies in talent matter less. He was brought in because he promised to beat teams every once in awhile, like TCU, because his receivers/QB would always be able to exploit weaknesses. The key would be if our defense could deliver enough stops to keep our offense ahead.

The Reality: For the most part, Mason s defenses have played well enough to keep us in games 3/4 of the game. June's offense meanwhile constantly falters and most drives don't end in points. June's R'nS hasn't lived up to its billing...except in Hawaii and perhaps against TCU (2011) and during the second half of Rutgers (2013).

Guys- the original poster thinks SMU needs to build a 50,000 seat stadium. I don't know what else I need to tell you about his complete lack of understanding of the realities on college football in 2013.

He is a troll, just ignore him and his dim-witted posts, and he will go away.
