Is it reasonable to expect a coaching candidate who has two offers to prefer us over a UCLA?
Didn't UCLA fire him in 2011?
I'd be willing to BET (emphasis added) that he is interested. me: /whips out NCAA pool. Rick N: /screams. immediately writes 10,000 check

He took Colorado to the Cotton Bowl and Washington to the Rose. We could do worse.

He had a good run at Washington and had a few stellar recruiting classes at UCLA but they were terrible. I wonder what really happened there.

Only at Colorado really. At UW it was basically flat with one spike upwards, at UCLA it was basically flat.

so we hire him with a no penalty cut clause in year two. He sweet talks a bunch of great recruits here, and then we just switch to someone else. Why are coaches the only ones that get to jump around like a bunch of harlequins.

Ding, ding. We have a winner. But, in our conference, if we ever got even a top 25 recruiting class we'd most likely win it or at least be in the running (even WITH a terrible Xs and Os guy). Klemm can be his HCIW.

Isn't that the class that now as Seniors just went 9-3 and pasted cross town rival USC?

Wow funny this is brought up, I have a good friend from back home that Coach Rick brought in as a walk on qb to ucla our freshman year of college. Anyways, my friend called me this week and said that Rick took him and a few buddies out to dinner and a major topic was the SMU job and potential vacancy because Rick brought it up at dinner-- Not saying he openly said he wanted the job or anything but he had mentioned it and now theres this, interesting.

I heard him on the radio too, and he definitely sounded like he was interested
in the S.M.U. job should it open.
