They are floating in cash. Our football budget is $14 million while TCU's is around $35 Million. And some say we should not increase our budget in order to catch up...
And where would all that money be coming from? I think we should also join the sec, hire Saban, bring 100k to each game and win a national title. You know, because I want them to.
You are FINALLY, starting to come around!

Why didn't I think of that?

Nope, I didn't look at anything tcu nor would I want to. They have a billboard near my subdivision that was exactly like the ad that popped up at the top of PFs....the one w/the blue sky and the tcu for life on the graduation cap. Thanks for the explanation.

You are way off in your figures of football budgets and I admit that I do not know the budget for SMU or TCU. I do know that In 2011 Ohio State had the highest football budget in the country with $ 32.5 million followed by Notre Dame at $ 31 million, Alabama at $29 then Michigan at $ 26 and on down the line. No one is really floating in cash as only 12 Division athletic programs in the country broke even or made a few bucks. SMU and TCU both lose money every year and is made up out of the general budget supplemented by booster fund raising.

Do not confuse budget and revenues generated.
First column is for football expenses.

I wouldn't worry about the TCU ad on a SMU fan site...that would be an example of bad use of advertising space and not going after your real target audience.

Yes Yes TCU advertised on our board.
But I also found out that Brooks Brothers is having their Semi-Annual 50% off sale starting on Monday, including men's suits and sport coats.
So it's all good.
