Then how did we almost kick UCF's collective rear end?

So we should at least beat Baylor or almost lick their collective rear ends, right stud?

We almost kicked UCF's collective rear end because we weren't good enough to actually kick it.

Garrett Gilbert is gone this year so we have a fresh start at winning more games next year. Everyone in Texas was making fun of us having Gilbert playing for us, but then again, beggars can't be choosers.

No, but I do think that since we gave UCF a decent game and UCF beat Baylor buy 10 (and it could have been worse than that if not for the UCF fumbles) we should compete very well against Baylor. I would think that you and I would be on the same page with that judging by the statement you made.

Do you and I agree on that we should be competitive with Baylor?

Eventually, yes. Should we be performing at the same level as the Big 12 champions right this very minute? I don't think that's reasonable. My expectation for this program in the next two years is that we make steps to get to the next level and start to get some Top 25 votes. Am I confident we're on that path? No.

Now you said that we almost beat UCF and UCF beat Baylor. UCF performed better that the Big 12 Champions. The AAC Champion is better than the Big 12 Champion. Why not next year if we almost kicked UCF's ( The AAC Champion) rear end this year?
