We are going to need more just one good recruiter/coach.
This wont happen. Mumme will get replaced internally with someone who does not know what they are doing and does not recruit....and probably no idea on how to run an offense. Can basketball go through football season as well?

^^^^^^ If we bring back the QB walk of shame, I am going to cry. On the bright side, Mumme's spot is now available to hire a real Special Teams Coach.

Likely to be filled by an internal candidate...goody...because we have so many aggressive recruiters that have shown they have the ability to recruit the state of Texas at a high level.

if we do the QB walk (jog) of shame next year I am going to just consider my season tickets a donation and join everyone else who doesn't leave the Blvd. Our main topic of conversation will be who should come in here after june. It is too emotionally taxing to watch that.
Our luck he will pull a rabbit out of his hat, win the minimum 6 games to get us back in Birmingham, and 2-3 trustees will be just peachy with it and extend him for 4 more years.

We play Baylor, UNT, Aggies, then TCU before conference play....Aggies and TCU are home games.

At least we will get paid to play in Baylor, and we will get some revenue from the TCU and Aggie sellouts/beer sales.

JJ had 6 years to prepare for this schedule & he didn't take advantage of the time. All he wanted to do was complain & make excuses. Oh well.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Timmy Chaing will be the obvious replacement-because he has those strong Texas recruiting ties. Sorry I see sbsmith had the same thought as I as usual

It's "brutal" every season. This is not news.

Guys when are you going to realize that June doesn't recruit and never has wanted to...he isn't going to hire a recruiter who will be able to do anything with a head coach who doesn't believe in it. See Coach Klemm....he was SO frustrated with the lack of effort from the top in this area.

He must have made a difference although only here a year. The play-calling seemed much better after early troubles and the way the ball was spread around to so many different receivers along with the emergence of GG. This after the only running threat was out for the season.
