No reason why SMU can't build one like that...
We won't build another football stadium in our lifetime. We will never need a stadium that holds more than 35K, which Ford does with standing room. If we ever get into a major conference, we could always move one or two marquee games to the Cotton Bowl or Jerry World. What planet are you living on?

In your lifetime? How old are you? I could see us building a newer nicer stadium across 75 sometime in the next 50 years. Ford is as generic as you can get and Stallion has beat the lack of sideline seating to death already.

What would help get us into a major conference is showing we are committed to big time athletics, which is what TCU and Baylor did with building those 1:3 replicas of Jerryworld in their campuses. UH is doing that right as we speak and UCF has plans to expand/renovate bright house networks. Meanwhile although I am happy about Crum and Moody being built/renovated, more needs to be done with football...

There isn't a bad seat inside Ford, and we come nowhere close to filling it now. IF the demand ever arises, I could see us adding some more suites and/or club seating on the east side of the stadium, but that's it.

I could imagine us closing the horseshoe and going up on the east side. Easier than I could have imagined what's happening to is in bball right now.

It will most certainly be completed well before August 29th. They will have a High School Football game on Aug. 29. A DFW School vs a San Antonio School.

I assume the new stadium seats more than Floyd Casey Landfill did. Is our allotment bigger than last time?

I don't think we'll fill our allotment. I think I bought on deadline for season ticketholders and I believe my temporary tickets were numbers 945 and 946-but hey that's more than the 750 that went to College Station. I'm sure we sold a few more when they were opened up to general public
Speaking of Baylor tickets-SID or anybody know when they are planning on mailing them out?

Baylor Football â€@BUFootball #McLaneStadium tickets sold out for SMU, TCU and KU games. Few remain for NWST, Okla St, K-State. #SicEm
Officially sold out. I think SMU was given 3,000 and I'm sure there will be a few thousand more that buy off Stubhub/Ticketcity/etc...can't wait.

As it's the first game it's not for sure but I imagine the sections where Baylor fans were not allowed to select tickets (131, 314, 315, 316, 317, 329) would be where they are. Those sections combined hold more than the 3,800 tickets that are typically held out for visitors (All opponents other than TCU returned between 1-2k this year) so it's not the entire sections. **Edit** It's those sections: http://www.baylor.edu/bearfoundation/index.php?id=95988
