Someone chose their cable poorly, but then again I have not checked to see if direct has it.

Direct has had its own share of feuds. Did Direct ever kiss and make up with the Weather Channel? Direct also lost a bunch of clients by dragging their feet on adding the SEC Network. Every one of them have their share of crap. I am going back to Uverse in the not too distant future for reasons not even related to this blackout.

Go watch at a bar. I'm sure Barley, Milo's, Twin Peaks and other uptown joints will carry the game

I think I will go the the Buffalo Wild Wings around the corner rather than the 5 hour drive to those spots.

There are SMU fans who are so poor that they have to have Dish Network?

The channel is available, they are just in a fee fight with Fox Sports right now and are blacking it out as a bargaining tactic.

Yes, I am just a poor old man. My bill for Dish takes food off of my table but I cannot be wealthy like you. I try but I just cannot do it. Please send me money.

I cancelled my Dish contract a few years ago when they got into a contract dispute with primary providers of my sports package in the middle of football season and I couldn't watch most of the football that I wanted.

When I asked for a credit for the lost service, the customer service rep insisted on reading a statement regarding Dish's position regarding the dispute. I tried to tell the idiot on the phone that I didn't care about the details of the argument, I just wanted my money back. They refused my demand for a refund because they said that they fulfilled their obligation by adding a couple of soccer channels to my package in lieu of American football. Never again will I subscribe to Dish.

That site is money if you're out of country and wanting to watch U.S. sports.

This is what I have told them also. I had them for 10 years in the past and they were great. Now after having come back to them, they suck. I am just waiting for the right time to change.

I'm so glad I live in a place that does not allow/permit:

Dish Network
DirecTV
Fios

And only gives one cable company access:

Comcast.

Nothing like crony capitalism and a state sponsored monopoly to improve service and lower prices!
