AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farUCF now has a QB. Kid would have started, UCF would have won by the beginning of the 4th
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so far
That new QB will likely be the guy who was the #1 QB in the nation out of high school http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruit ... iel-102803 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farAAC is clearly the best G5 conference and it isn't even close. UCF, Cincinnati, ECU are better than anything out there in the G5. Houston looks like a chump which is too bad but maybe some of the also-rans (us included) can rise up and have a quality season.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farNo solid teams outside AAC. Boise is an afterthought. But then again, I am disappointed by P5 performance these first few games.. Big Ten sucks and so does the Big 12 so far
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so far
I know but we'll see if it is all hype or if he can play. We'll see if Toledo gives them a game or not. #HammerDown
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farIt is the first week. What if SMU pulls an upset against BU? That changes the whole game for the AAC.
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farRice not looking too bad against Notre Dame.....10-14 with 6 minutes left in first half.

ECM, I call it like I see it. I don't remember trashing SMU basketball anytime recently. There's a reason that the AAC isn't a power conference and there's a reason we're in it. Think with you brain, not your heart. BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so far
I've never said it is or should be a power conference...but it's by far the best G5 conference and if we weren't bailed out by being in a huge media market and only recently investing in football we'd still be in CUSA. Tell you what- I'll pay you $100 every year Navy wins the AAC and you pay me $100 every year they don't...based on your logic, we should come out even, right? 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farBeing in one of the better bad conferences doesn't make it a good conference. We do get more TV exposure. How is CUSA, MWC, and the Sunbelt doing. I have not been keeping up with them.

Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farSeems like ECM woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. As captain of the ponyfans rational squad, I'd never bet on that without seeing each team each year. That comment had more to do with teams problem stopping the option and them usually having a strong team. You know damn well what I mean.

Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farDrunken post...
What could we have done to further our case if we were not playing Baylor, A&M, and TCU out of conference... so stupid. And no, I am not a fan of June. He got that right though (and only that).
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farOh and I agree with ECM... I will take that bet all day x10.
Re: AAC looks somewhat weak in football so farSMU just doesn't need to lose to UNT. That would be a bad.

And you'd replace them with what? Keep in mind that schedules are made in advance. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
