This would be spot on if you posted it in 2011, and there was still a small chance at the end of last year to make a move. By not eating the 5 million and bring in a new staff was the final nail in the coffin, and I know it's not my money, but that was the final move, or lack thereof. The musical chairs game is over and SMU did not make the cut in football. We have to accept that. It's done.
What? The musical chairs game is far from over. The next big shift will come when the Big 12 and ACC GoR's end 2024/2025. SMU, Houston, and UCF stand out as making the cut in the future. Just because we don't have a straight flush doesn't mean we should fold.
