No. Everything has changed.
Hoping that the season would be respectable and then he resigns .
But total incompetence and humiliation.

He is gone within 7!days . 100%

5%. Name solid college programs that fire coaches mid-season? Didn't Mackovic even coach out the whole year after the Rout 66 year? Same with Mack Brown last year.

Umm.... We aren't a solid FB program. UT has a largely sold out stadium with lots of financial support. They don't have a revenue impact by keeping a coach through the end of the year. They fire them, buy them out and move on. Plus UT is a top job so they will have great candidates regardless when they start the search.

We can't afford to buy a coach and staff, so we wait until we only have a few months left on the HC contract and the staff stays until year end. If SMU doesn't fire JJ and give them fans some hope then Ford will be empty and the revenue ramifications will be significant.
We need to get a head start on lining up a new coach before the wave of coaching changes at year end. Plus Firing him now won't cost you anything.

60% this week.

I emailed RGT that I would not be using or distributing my season tickets until June is canned. Not that he gives a damn what I do...

Now if 40 or 50 percent of our "SMU" season ticket holders told him this, then maybe that attitude might help. But most of our season ticket holders do not even know how to use email.

Unfortunately, if the admn just looks at the butts in seats the next two games, the "SMU fans" not showing up will not seem like much, with our stadium already packed with the opposition.

But still, 60% he is gone this week.
Beat the hell out of anybody!

rather than guess a percentage, I'll say that we will know 100% for sure tomorrow. If nothing leaks out by the end of the day he'll be here 2 weeks from now.

we have to hope a deal is negotiated and that within the week JJ "resigns" and announces that he feels it is time for the program to move in another direction. He takes the high road (back to Hawaii) and thanks SMU for the opportunity to help turn the program around and wishes us success in the future. He then goes back to Hawaii and if he still wants to coach, he eventually does so there (in what capacity remains to be determined). Mason takes over, makes whatever changes he feels are needed on his staff and we limp through this season but at least show some heart in getting thumped week after week. That's what I'd like to see
