Just as an FYI, Hudspeth is from Louisville, Mississippi. That's in the eastern part of Mississippi. He went to college at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi (that's in the northwest quarter of the state of Mississippi).
Yes, he has coached in Louisiana for 5 (in his 6th year) years but his ties are more Mississippi/Alabama than they are Louisiana. However, he does seem to embrace the Acadiana culture fairly well... at least well enough to bide his time there until his dream job comes available (Mississippi State).
