It's not a horrible idea - you could do worse.
But for this program, at this time, it's not a good fit.
When Tubbs leaves Cincy two years from now he'll be a good fit.

As shown with Larry, you don't need a head coach with texas ties if you have really good assistants with texas ties...

This is true but not every Head coach was won a NBA and NCAA title, an Olympic gold medal as a player and as an assistant coach plus a bronze medal as the Olympic team head coach. There is a little bit of difference
