Gehrig Dieter update

Don't know if a comparison right know is valid ... little to do wr play and more to do with OL and QB play.

I liked DD ... not fast .... but had size, ups (aggressive and would go get it), good hands, and big/strong hands. Just what you want from a possession wide-out. Coach Phillips was not a fan ... DD's Dad told me at the Tulane games a few years back that Phillips told his son "your not my kind of guy". Now, take that for it is worth, that is coming from the heart/eyes of a parent. I will tell you, after having spent some time around DD's folks ... they did not lack for confidence in their son(s), and they were not shy about their opinion of what his (DD) roles should have been day 1. But, I liked the young mans skill.

Yeah I liked him as well. Just seems like the kid was a player. Not sure why you run him off when your receivers can't best out a walk on, no offense to Nelson who has done ok other than the fumble against Baylor. I just didn't get it.

Maybe JJ didn't think Dieter was of the "coach them up" level of player that he liked?

I thought he left because he really came here because of the relationship with Reinbold. Then, when he left it seemed he and Phillips didn't see eye to eye and it was time to leave.

Too bad with him leaving, Taylor getting kicked out (still shocked with that one!), Levingston (now starting at ECU), and Gabe Marks (putting up good numbers at WSU).

In 2013, Gabe Marks caught 74 passes for 807 yards and seven touchdowns.
He has not caught a pass this season; I'm not sure if he's injured or there have been
"off-the-field" issues.

GD seemed like a nice enough kid,
but I met his Dad once inside Ford
and good grief Dad was a pain in the arse.

I guess Daddy can watch both Deiter boys now.
