Needs to learn to slide now, though. He's proven he has the balls to run over a defender, but if he's our best option he needs to stay on the field.

The kid has some stones for sure. Also his quote in the paper was 100% dead on. I think he has some intangibles that mean something to a team like this one. Keep him in would be my vote, but then again nobody is asking for my vote.

Being objective, he was not great. However, as everybody else has said, he showed more heart and desire to be out on the field than the other QBs have in my opinion. He did not seem to be demoralized by the scoreline.

The guy showed guts, that is for sure. But even though the 1's were still in the game, A&M stopped blitzing. He was dealing with 3 and 4 man fronts which gave him the chance to scramble. The LB and corners played generic coverages and backed off the line, stopped run blitzing also. That is why the running game started working, even beyond his scrambling.

One thing that I thought was interesting - against Baylor, we came out and really ran short routes. Very conservative. Even though the completion rate was decent the yards per attempt was crazy low.

In this game, we actually tried to throw real passes (not so well, but actually ran a real offense). Hopefully that will pay off because it is probably more real experience gained.

The fact that the student section was cheering his name at the end of the game should tell you all you need to know about how they feel

He'd be my starter for the rest of the season.
