I felt then, as I feel now, that June intentionally threw the test of the season after the UCF game. The difference was massive.

I just remember himm playing the God card, it really pissed me off.

Remember when cornered and he said something like, I am where God wants me?

He wanted out but God grounded him I guess?

It was a wet day of football and the team and JJ did not have any energy or desire. June lead the squad and they did nothing. JJ had done nothing for months. I had enough. That is when I put my shoes on the field and asked June to put them on and walk home.
June Jones stole money from his friends in the circle and let this whither.

True and he almost seemed to intentionally sabotage SMU with intentionally bad recruiting after that point...hopefully it wasn't intentional but weird at best

this is important to rehash becuase it shows failures in leadership. we could have built off momentum but some CoCs loved JJ (and i heard that charge was led by GJF for a long time
