Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumsIf they want bad stadiums, they should look at Harvard's stadium. While it might look good on TV, there are no actual seats and you are forced to sit on actual concrete blocks. When it is cold, it is like sitting on block of ice.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiums
You're not supposed to sit at football games. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
OT: Worst college football stadiumsHow are Tennessee's and Auburn's monstrosities not on that list??? Both are old and ugly.
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumsHow is UAB's home stadium not on this list?
Anyone who went to the Bowl game against Pitt knows what I am talking about. Add the fact that games must end prior to the sun going down so that fans don't get mugged on the way out and you have #1 on my personal list of places I have seen a game... "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumsyeah its pretty bad when you have sunk so low that writers of "Worst Stadium" pieces forget you even exist-because there is no doubt Legion Field should be on there

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumsSo it seems in ranking the college football stadiums this report really missed the boat. This article wasn't about the stadiums at all. It was about more about things such as poor attendance and winning records. North Texas stadium was great for the SMU-NT game. Ford Field is great when it is full on a cool, fall day. Kyle Field is crowded but one of the worst stadiums to watch a football game. So far from the field of play that only the lower 20-30k are close. The only exception I have experienced is that AT & T stadium with the high school playoffs with an attendance of 30-35k is still loud and has a smaller feel to it. I would rather watch a game at Ford Field at capacity than be in the upper deck at Memorial stadium or that ridiculous endzone complex at aggieland. That is not taking into account the product on the field.
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumscome to the new kyle field next year. oh wait you can't because every seat will be sold out. all 100k.
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiums
I imagine they will expand to 200k someday. Not much to do other than watch football in the redneck bleak hell of college station.
Re: OT: Worst college football stadiumsQuite stupid. It veers in and out of critiquing stadium versus game day experience. Rice Stadium could use some work but it's a great place to watch a football game. Alamo Dome isn't that great but it does not deserve to be on the list.
