We have great fans. Just not enough of them. Anyone showing up to these
games should be commended.

I will second that comment. From the time SMU offered those post death penalty "Cornerstone" packages, I think our 1500 cemented their status as being among the most hard core fans any college football program could hope to have.

To be clear, there were more on the west side than on the east side. But the west side was sparser than normal and almost completely empty by the 4th quarter

I was actually impressed with how many of us stayed until the beginning of the fourth. And was not disappointed at all with the
turnout considering how crappy we are playing.

Also, that photo was taken in the late 3rd quarter. A lot of the students had already left or moved to the shade and a lot of Cincy fans moved over to the
shade too by that time... Not that it matters
