For this board .... 24hrs. Realistically IMO ... good "MO" in year 3 (bowl and poss more), rockin/rolling in year 4. Assuming no circumstances/issues arise ... whatever that might be.

Wow. I was just thinking about this at lunch before seeing the thread, and came to the conclusion 8 wins in year four was somewhat realistic, if not a bit optimistic.

An 8-4 record isn't going to get you a top 25 ranking. Shouldn't the expectation be when are we going to start winning like TCU has during the Patterson era?

I would take 11-1 or 10-2.

Wait, aren't we going to get all mad that he isn't going for a national championship next year?

They just finished 4-8 in their fourth season with 39 seniors on the roster so they're not quite there yet.

As long as the goal of every bowl he goes to is not the Hawaii Bowl I think everyone will be fine.

He's going to go 1-11 in 2015.

Then in 2016, we will go 7-5 and make the Hawaii Bowl. Everyone will go crazy and act like we won the Super Bowl. People will say that Chad Morris performed miracles. ESPN will make a 30-for-30 on us.

June turned it around in year 2 and got us to a bowl. This will happen much quicker.

Offensively, the line has improved all year and we get everyone back. Davis a much better fit with scheme. RB Nlemchi and Durall. At WR, you have two big guys in Sutton and Gaines, then we have jitterbugs for screens with Deion and Joseph. Walker and Malone are okay as well. No playmakers though, that is apparent. And we have a lot of guys that might look okay at practice or on paper, but don't play well in games because they aren't natural football players.

He will add a JUCO QB and a frosh QB, a big WR and a stud playmaker at WR, and a really good RB. All will see plenty of time and we will be just fine on offense with the added talent and the new scheme.

Defense is going to be a struggle because of DT and MLB - won't stop any power games at all. Not enough playmakers at corner, and it is really hard to find frosh to start at any of those spots.

With two weak non-conference and some weak teams in the AAC I think we are 5-6 win team next year. I had us at 5 wins this season like most of the media, but I expected us to be much better next year anyway because of the underclassmen starting on offense.

you had us at 5 wins, yet we were in the running for one of the worst college football teams in the history of college football. (our pinnacle was a 7 win reg season...)

sorry, i'm just not sure I trust your judgement.
