Morris will be on the recruiting trail TOMORROW to immediately upgrade this roster, and next year's starting 22 will look drastically different than this year. A new scheme, a new attitude, a few key pieces from this upcoming class, and the right QB, will turn this around quickly.

Morris told the team this AM that he expects the program to be a winning program immediately, not 2 or 3 years down the road. He told them they are going to win and have fun doing it if they just buy into him immediately.

Whether SMU fans believe it is realistic or not, this guy is aiming for a .500 season next year, not 1 or 2 or 3 wins.

He also gave everyone a little stare down when he walked in and immediately told all of them to sit upright in their chairs.

This is the right guy at the right time for this program....100%

Love hearing that. How do you think most of the team responded? Has to be a difficult situation for them. Facing 0-12, the coach that recruited you is gone and the rest are leaving.

knowing how he addressed the team and what he expects and that he will be watching the game on Saturday, does anyone expect a different level of intensity against UConn???

He called June after his other offers weren't commitable. June didn't think he would ever look at a place like SMU, so he hadn't even been recruited by him.

So glad Chad is in charge now. What a difference.

I take it I hit a sore spot, didn't I?

No amount of your nonsense can temper my enthusiasm for Morris and ALL OF THE PLAYERS on this roster. They finally have a true leader, with vision & enthusiasm, who knows his stuff, who undoubtedly will hire a great staff, and who also seems to be a good man to top it off.

You just figure out your next criticism or insult, it's what you do best.

Isn't your sole objective to trash our fan base? I mean, that's literally all you've done on here.

I'm just providing a snapshot of where the team is at right now from a personnel standpoint. Sorry if information scares you.

Mixed emotions, but overall very positive. As bad as the group was overall, there were still a couple of coaches that the players liked and felt bad for them being fired. More than talent, scheme, or anything else; getting rid of the Jones & Co. CULTURE is going to do more for this program, quickly, than any other factor. Morris specifically allude to this in his presser.

He has a lot of QB's taking up space that are not going to fit into his offense.

Colbert and Davis would be the only dual threats we have. Is Severt a runner?

It would be great for us if June, or some of the other coaches, got jobs elsewhere, and a lot of players/commits follow them.

SMU21TCU10, when are you going to change you June Jones signature?

Your information is irrelevant, just like your insults and constant criticisms of the roster. Do you really think Morris & staff will take into consideration the stars and offers of each player from 1,2,or 3 years ago when making their evaluations? If so, make sure you send him your list

If you want to spend hours making a list, go out and make a list of all the top recruits in DFW that are still uncommitted, or the top Juco's in our positions of most need, or those in the entire State that may have committed to other programs but might be open to staying closer to home and playing for coach Morris.

Myself, and many others, might actually be interested in that type of exercise in positive momentum.

I think the list is very relevant because we can only sign 25 plays max. So we need to see what we have coming back because the majority of them will be here.

That list already exists on rivals. This one didn't. I think it's quite informative and that other fans of SMU, and not just their son, might like to see it. At the very least, it shows positions where you could do some trimming, as well as where we stand for schollies in the future, since we didn't graduate that many kids.

Stop being so butt hurt all the time.
