He's coached at A&M, TCU, Northwestern, Kansas, etc. He has big school experience and is a native Texan who has recruited Texas extensively. Good hire.

I went back to 2005 and something like 31 out of 33 graded recruits were rated at least 3 star and I believe there were about 8-9 4 stars. Not all at Kansas. Familiar name in Texas where he has been successful in recruiting. Many years he's brought in 4 to as many as 8 committed recruits. Upgrade definitely as far as recruiting
