When does soccer season end? A little tough to start construction on their field while they are still playing.

The final spring soccer game will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25 at Westcott Field.

Or if you will scan down a bit you will find all the info. Bottom line is that it will happen in the near future.
That was a pretty good "pitch" that you offered there. ...

Sooooo, since the actual soccer season is in the fall (until the NCAA change takes place and they finally move soccer to a year-round schedule), you area saying construction will begin this spring/summer?

You can play soccer anywhere. There are 1.2 million soccer fields in the metroplex. Or, there's the Safeway parking lot.

Soccer deserves to play on a nice field. Westcott is great. The stadium isn't much, but it will be sad to see that field go.

And on a purely selfish note, I'm going to be sorry to lose the running track. I assume the indoor track will not be available for public use.

The soccer field itself was put in in 1994 when the World Cup was in Dallas and cost at that time over a $1 million paid for by FIFA I believe. The field is phenomenal and will cost a ton to put into a new location.
When I played the track and field teams (Back when we had both Men and Women's track) practiced the throwing events on Westcott just as we did and so one corner of the field was littered with pot holes from the shot puts. I was very surprised we didn't lose more guys to ankle injuries. We played our games on Ownby, and before the field was replaced by astrofurf.
As glad as I am that the IPF is going up and into that location, I am interested if anyone knows where the soccer field and practice track is going. Last I heard, We had plans for a new soccer stadium where the old band field was. I assume that this is still part of the plan.

Soccer will either be at Pettus or possibly across 75 on east campus.

A party deck for boosters and fans, one with a view of the Dallas skyline, is also part of the plan.
Where would this be in the stadium? Are they planned to reduce seating, build it on top of the current structure, or is the endzone berm about to go bye bye?

To have a view of the Dallas skyline it would have to be on the north or East side

I would imagine it would be a raised deck above the north end zone seats.
