He probably banned you from the SMU Scout site when he found out you wrote also write for Ponyfans on occasion. Just like Armen had to cancel Billy's Rival account when he went to Scout. Billy had to cancel Adams account as well when he went to Rivals. Also had to cancel EJ's account when he went to 247.
Well, he obviously didn't cancel EJ's because that DMN article was definitely lifted from Scout content . And, yes, he pointed that out to me as well, even thought it was secondary and it is a bit silly because 1) I attend a couple of practices a year and share observations with PonyPride and 2) PonyPride allows all of them to have logins to this site. At least I know now who tried to point that out to him... thanks! OTP - I am in the same boat - I bought a yearly subscription, I wasn't even told that I had been banned or why ( I had to find out myself), and I won't be getting a refund. Not the best customer service in the world... Kind of funny how everyone rips on PonyPride from keeping the boards cleaned up and ending conversations when insults happen, but PP doesn't do anything as drastic as those other sites do.

That Scout article was free as I recall. But EJ is cancelled and apparently you are as well. So is Adam at Scout and Billy at Rivals. That is done all the time. Since you seem to anti recruiting site and could share premium info with PP it is probably for the better. Interesting how you only told half the story. Why would you want to subscribe to a recruiting site anyway since you have talked so badly about them. I guess this is your chance to really talk badly about them. Oh well.

Here is a quote from the email thread that seems to explain their policy:
"Sorry. You criticized our writing in a premium story (warranted or not) and you help a site that won't even allow our site to be talked about on its boards."
I challenged Billy that the article was free, and he went back and confirmed it was not. So, obviously EJ still has access somehow. Or I guess Scout could have copied EJ, but I doubt that.
More than happy to share the entire conversation out of transparency if you would like.
The whole thing is just stupid, and I haven't been public about it to this point because I don't believe in ruining someone's business just because they do something stupid. But at some point you guys have to get enough marketing sense to realize that if Walmart kicked everyone out of the store who made fun of Walmart, they wouldn't have any customers anymore. Instead, the funny anti-Walmart sites are essentially advertising for them because it makes the brand top of mind and it also helps them continue to improve their business. As much as people make fun of Walmart, it certainly has a better brand than Scientology.
Anyhow, again, thanks for pushing the issue and getting my subscription revoked.

You wrote articles for another site end of story. That is what I have been trying to say, it happened to him too on Rivals.

I don't think it's unreasonable. The pay sites are a business.

A business that 1) doesn't have a stated policy, 2) doesn't give a refund for violating an unstated policy, 3) is holding someone accountable for donating their time to provide observations to a free website that has been around forever and 4) revoked my subscription for criticizing as much as writing for another site, and there is an incident mentioned earlier in this thread of a subscription being revoked simply for criticism. So... writing articles isn't "end of story" obviously . The dallas morning news doesn't prevent star telegram writers from reading the paper. In fact, those guys might be the only subscribers . Frankly, I think everyone in the media is freaking out a little bit because Chad has restricted access and nobody has unique content now. This incident is most likely a projection of that frustration as much as anything else.
