Thank goodness we all went to a Christian school, Southern Methodist University.

That very fact kept us above and out of so very many scandals....

Can't buy into the logic of the "truth behind a stereotype" generalization, any more than applying that same logic to stereotyping racial groups or blondes.

JoeKidd, I believe you did hit it on the numbers with the observation about the flawed condition of all us as humans. My own failings as a human have nothing to do with being a Baptist, or even a Baptist pastor. It does however put me in a unique place to choose either despair at my condition, or acceptance at the offered grace. I choose grace.

How I live with that given grace can either be life changing, or simply an addition to my already cluttered and selfish existence. I choose the former.

Hypocrite? I hope not, but if you are a beggar, it is good to share with others where you have found bread.

An Absolutely corrupt football program. And from a Baptist school. And we get scrutiny from the NCAA for minor things while schools so corrupt (remember PSU?) walk away. Disgusting! Glad Bennett is gone gone gone!

SMU ran a corrupt program and it is a Methodist school. In fact, I believe the Methodist counsel came to check into the school after the DP.
