Colbert looked pretty good.

Just got back from the scrimmage.
Colbert is clearly way ahead of Ben Hicks. Looks comfortable and confident in the pocket.
Braeden West will be our feature back. Shifty, fast, and elusive.
Kevin Thomas struggled early with some drops but you can see the kid is oozing talent. Made a terrific catch on the sideline that really emphasized his size and leaping ability.
Mitchell Kaufman looked pretty good playing H Back. Took a pass in the flat for about a 50 yard score.
The kicker transfer from Wake has one heck of a leg. Consistently hit the kickoffs in the end zone.
Xavier Castille flashed a bit of his ability and versatility.
OL looks night and day better than the spring.
Ace Holleman had a great catch on a long go route from Colbert. Made a terrific adjustment on the ball and fought off the defender.
Those were the things that popped on the offensive side of the ball.

Kaufman was a surprise (positively) on offense. H back is a nice spot for his athletic talent.
Didn't see Line out there, or Davis. O line did look better (and bigger)

Houston, we have an offense. Colbert will be the backup and the OLine looks way way better than the spring game. Matt Davis will obviously start and I'm sure there are reasons why he was kept out today along with many starters

I put Colbert a step ahead of Hicks but both had some good shots. Maybe they didn't want Matt or Prescott getting dinged up or didn't want to give away any of their performance for potential scouts.
