And yet TCU fans and Baylor fans seem to be able to make the commitment for those 6 Saturdays in the fall. In addition, if your a Baylor fan, you probably have to drive a minimum of 90 minutes to get to Waco for a home game. Would be willing to be the majority of DFW SMU alumni live within 20 minutes of our campus.

It took time for the team to get the fans really behind them. Like CFM said it will take time but we are on our way.

There were more than a few usual road warriors missing, but the most glaring absentees were the students.

We are building a program from the ground up. That includes the fans. These first three games have proven that we are headed in the right direction. I fully expect the crowds in 2016 to reflect the forward momentum we are building in 2015.
Back off Warchild seriously.

...and of course Smu sent back allotment before the nice showing vs NTSU.

I was watching prices closely on stubhub this week before I realized I needed to work saturday, and man, they had some really high prices, so yeah, a lot of dough to fork over for what was likely an epic butt kicking.
So glad the team proved that wrong.

i am afraid Stallion was right. No excuses now that June is gone. It was sad.

Many can't add a 7th or 8th to spend $100 per person to watch your team get beat by 50. Those criticing us "lazy fans" need a little perspective. A lot of fans are kicking themselves for not going last night. Many will change that going forward.
i understand but its time to wake up now that Morris is here. These kids will fight for him

The mind set is stubborn - and won't change until actually winning occurs. The 1500 are excited due to obvious progress, but most of our casual fans (and Dallas) won't notice until actual wins occurs. Based on what we have seen that may occur this year instead of next like we were all expecting.

Habits and priorities. SMU football is not a habit for many SMU fans and even less of a priority for many others. Attendance for each game is a choice. For many, many people that should be in the SMU fold, it just isn't a habit or a priority and they choose to spend their Saturday doing other things.

Other stuff vs another beat down is any easy decision. Other stuff vs likely fun win will change the decision making.

Kudos to those that actually showed up (mostly parents and friends). The most satisfying defeat I've ever watched.

Strange pleasure watching a bunch of arrogant frogs sweat as profusely as Fatterson early in the 4th at 42-37.

Would have been a major disruption for me to go. I would have done it for a competitive game, couldn't do it for a blowout. I'm sure most are the same.

I am as guilty as anyone. I went because I was offered tickets at the last minute.

Yes, parties will take precedence over fball. I just hope this changes peoples minds and they think about going to a game like this in the future. It's a totally different deal now. Like RGV said, no excuses for students and I am not sure I saw hardly any. That is crazy to me. Fun night in FW.
