I did a back of the envelope count last night on missed tackles. If we got a hand on the ball carrier and didn't bring him down I counted it. This doesn't take into account players being in the wrong place and didn't have a chance to make the tackle, nor does it take into account that it would have been a tough tackle to make anyway. Just somebody laid a hand on the ball carrier and failed to bring him down (didn't count Special Teams). Using this criteria we missed 32 tackles last night.

Was that 1st or 2nd half?

That was for the entire game.

I will note that the 2nd Qtr was our best quarter. We pretty much controlled the ball for the final 8 minutes keeping our D off the field.

Our guy gave up on the play. It wasn't a speed issue. Their offensive coaches out-coached our defensive coaches. But even if the coaching was even, our defense is not talented enough to stop a good offense. We may have to score 50 points a game to win any more this year.

We were horrible, no doubt. But to be fair that was 6, who normally starts for us. He didn't last night, and we put him in as a desperate attempt to stop something. He was obviously injured and pulled up lame on that play and I don't think he played again. 18 Played the rest of the game at corner. I think it was after 4 got hurt on the punt return.

The db stopped running just as the pass was thrown. At that point he was about 5 yards behind. He caught the receiver and tackled him as they got to the endzone. Sure didn't look like a leg problem. Mental lapse yes, leg problem no. I think he thought the qb went down and let up running with the receiver, until he saw the ball....

After the play, he limped over to the line for the extra point try and then limped off the field and a trainer met him on the sideline. Maybe he was just doing that because he got beat, but it looked like something was wrong.

We need the infamous "some one act like they are hurt when the other team starts bending us over" play that June used frequently

here's the replay-show me again where No. 6 starts limping. He got torched-in fact after he got torched he ran even faster to catch up

You are correct. He turned on the jets to catch up and got up after the tackle walking normally.

At that point in the game I had moved to the endzone in 109. I was watching after the play add he got up and limped to the line for the extra point and then limped off the field and had a coach and a trainer met him on the sideline. I don't think he played after that.

Maybe he was faking something; I don't know. But since he didn't play much if at all before that play and didn't play much or at all after that play, and because he was probably our best corner the first 3 games of the season, I am thinking there was an injury thing of some sort going on.

After watching the replay, he played the receiver like he thought the safety had coverage over the top. Regardless, it was a mental mistake not physical. I don't remember seeing him limping around. I know one of the coaches talked to him when he got back to the sideline.
