This is a "must win" game for the AAC as it can't afford to lose games against non P5 conferences.

UNT will be jacked up for a home opener against SMU so I would expect a strong turnout from the home team. Will Mustang Mania make the trip to Denton?

If my memory serves me correctly, SMU hasn't fared too well when we have traveled to Denton and with that game being their opener with a new coaching staff, it will be a much tougher W than this year's was for SMU

Year two of the HCCM era...another year of offseason conditioning, spring and August practices to get guys more acclimiated to the system (esp on Defense), and redshirts off of guys like Proche, Honey, Scott twins, and probably a lot of our talented true freshmen defensive recruits playing early.

We should beat them easily.
