Re: Spring Game Prediction ThreadThe Good News: We've added 3 great Offensive Weapons: Alphonso Thomas was outstanding-one of the better performances at a Spring Game I've seen for a kid with no College experience-I dunno he probably had 120-140 yards rushing-2 long runs-only question was it the Defense?
-Proche was strong-dropped a couple of passes and QBs missed him repeatedly. He looked great on a touch pass and I think broke a couple of long plays. He's definitely a major talent that should start Alex Honey made a Courtland Sutton type grab on a jump ball in the corner of endzone and he made a couple of nice catches on crossing routes in traffic The Bad News: I wished it hadn't been so windy but neither QB looked like a major college starting QB. Hicks throws a decent ball but he is as wild as Nolan Ryan was as a rookie 19 year old. The Defense shows no real sign of being better than last year. I think the Scotts each had 2 sacks and Delointe batted a throw away. Not sure if they are really ready on running downs though. Darrion (Richardson) Millines from the 2015 Defensive Witness Protection Program made a nice interception. There were several interceptions on balls hanging in the air and another on a ball that was tipped by the receiver. Defensively secondary did make some turnovers but I'm afraid it was largely from poor QB play Last edited by Stallion on Sat Apr 16, 2016 3:58 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Spring Game Prediction ThreadI worry about our defense being the reason for the good ground game, but Thomas was outstanding. I met his uncle before the game. He said the kids head was swimming between school and football. If that is true he will only get better. He did miss a block or two but he was fun to watch.
Overall we were not impressive, but for what it is worth, we looked much better than the spring game last year. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand

Re: Spring Game Prediction ThreadI will make this observation. We have good receivers, and the defensive coverage was pretty good. If our dbs can cover our receivers, they should be ok in conference play.
Still worried about the Dline and LBs though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Spring Game Prediction ThreadWhile i watched my daughter (and game), I had a large popcorn and couple drinks on a table by the bounce houses.
Some guy walked by the table, stopped, looked around, stuck his hand in my corn, and proceeded to walk off while munching. People are amazing
