If you guys think this is a joke, who do you think Baylor is hiring in December? Les Miles?
Theres some crazy offensive coordinators that are looking for work as well as a few Sunbelt coaches that may want a raise.

Their top pick is Larry Fedora.

I think he'd be better of staying at UNC

Same for Chad Morris staying at SMU.

So basically Morris is perfect for the job because he has already done this exact thing at SMU! Coach Morris took over a team who was coached by the most successful coach in history...and has built his team from scratch.

Just curious why you think that so strongly. I don't necessarily disagree, there's a lot of serious challenges at Baylor going forward, but they can also offer P5 affiliation and brand new, state-of-the-art facilities...two things SMU can't at the moment.

I also wonder if Chad wants to take on another major rebuild for the second time in three years

I'd say its a legitimate, serious threat but a lot will depend on what happens this year at SMU AND Baylor. I've predicted SMU wins 4 games-for each victory above 4 the chances rise dramatically
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

If Baylor gets run off the field by the likes of OU, TCU, and Texas, do you think more coaches will be gun shy about taking the job, realizing the enormity of the rebuilding task ahead of them?

I can't see a Baylor coaching job, at this time, anything other than a stepping stone for something better. Why would any coach (outside of a H.S. coach) view Baylor as the ultimate stop on their career path? If HCCM wants something bigger and better than the Hilltop he could do a H3ll of a lot better than that armpit in Waco. We're already HCCM's potential stepping stone, he doesn't need that disaster down the interstate. Going from SMU to Baylor would be a step backwards in every way except for the P5 vs G5 allure or if the Baptists wave around huge amounts of cash. If Chad can get us good enough, fast enough that we are offered a place at the table in a P5 conference money would be the only reason to go. BO fans are delusional if they think a good coach with any other prospects is panting after a job in that back water.

I would think that CM would like to finish what he started at SMU and truly build us into a national title contender, but that's just my, an SMU fan's, opinion.

This is what I have heard. I have also heard Sonny Dykes is up there. I can see Larry Fedora, but not Sonny Dykes leaving Cal Berkeley.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to wade into that cesspool in Waco. Just a mess altogether and can you imagine trying to recruit to Rape/MurderU?

I don't see him going there because right now there are much better candidates than Chad Morris for that job. Just look at the AAC and Mountain West. Tons of good coaches that actually win and can recruit and run good programs.
