From what I have seen at Arkansas that 3-5 year time frame sounds about right. Did he say that during the season or before the season.?

I do not know that he ever said it. All the sports media gurus said so and the fans agreed. This team was pretty much like we were after Jones. Not because of the coach quitting but because the coach was recruiting for an offensive scheme that could not compete in the SEC unless your name is Alabama.

The Auburn game actually slowed the torch manufacturing quite a bit.

They play Alabama next week. Alabama beat the Aggies 45-23. Should be a super fun game, lol.

Wouldn’t the Auburn loss have increased the torch burning?

Auburn won that game 56-3 just two years ago, I think fans were expecting something more like that. Arkansas actually outgained Auburn in a lot of statistical categories despite losing by 31 due to awful special teams so I think a lot saw that as an improvement. This week was also another improvement.

Nope. They actually showed progress after the NTSU debacle. Considering Auburn’s first 17 points came on drives of 1, 9, and 27 yards due to special team play, the defensive improvement gave fans hope. Plus, Gus kicks a FG with under a minute to play to make the spread which deflects a little hate to him. And again today, without a KO TD on the opening play, score is tied.
