Yup......... and it wasn't his first year as a head coach. Lashlee will grow and improve. I'm optimistic with him at the helm.

Aye stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: The one constantSonny was lucky. He came into TCU with a bunch of Patterson recruits. They are fast, tough and don't give up.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: The one constant
Are you implying that ours are slow and wilt? If so, you could be right. Long live Inez Perez!
Re: The one constant
Based upon the Tulane game it would seem so...at least on defense. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: The one constantLuck is the religion of the lazy...Sonny has done a good job with a team that underperformed last year. TCU is fortunate, and has made the plays in order to stay in games and undefeated. My hope is that they have hit their ceiling, but I don't see Iowa State doing anything but keeping it close at best.
FWIW, our November swoon is not based on the coach...it seems it is endemic to SMU football. THAT seems to be the one constant to me... stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: The one constantlate season swoon = scheduling luck and lack of depth. We have beaten every team that we are better than. The UCF and Tulane game we underperformed in losses, and Houston we overperformed in a win.
