She wasn’t fired because tOSU lost to Michigan.

She has a distinguished background. Something went awry and she’s clearly not a good ol boy.

She's also a renowned engineer and inventor with a huge portfolio, and sufficiently wealthy that she recently donated $1MM to OSU.

Initial reports about an investigation into wrongdoing turned out to be inaccurate, and given she's staying through the end of the school year it appears to be a conflict with the board that couldn't be resolved during the annual budgeting process. Either something they wanted done she wasn't willing to do, or something she insisted on that the board wouldn't approve/fund.
