Oh my lord just reading the predictions in their board will make your head explode. They have some rational fans but the others predicting a win...wow. SMU will be ready and this will get ugly halfway through the 2nd quarter.

Yeah, the FCS label is deceptive. We are really in that painful purgatory between FCS and FBS. We JMU fans have been screaming to our deaf admin for years to get us into an FBS conference, to no avail. So, we continue to play at the top level of FCS in the meantime. Our enrollment is much larger than many FBS schools (about twice SMU's), and our athletic budget is in the mid-30 millions, about the same as SMU, and far greater than a lot of FBS schools. We, the fans, are ready. Our admin is jerking it.

What many here don't recognize is the talent you have regionally. ODU just made the step up and aren't doing bad. Going FBS would make you more attractive to the Tidewater athlete, a large source of talent that made VT what they are and have helped ODU recently. Good luck.

Also, a really nice school in a good area.

Is it just me or do we run way too many long routes. I would like for us to work in some more intermediate routes like on that 3rd down where we just needed to get 7 yards for a first down, especially if they are blitzing and you don't have as much time.

Yep! Just another of the many reasons we, the fans, have been screaming at our admin to get us into an FBS conference. It is ridiculous how ignorant they are of the desires of their fan base.
