watched the memphis-tulane game. good game. IMO those qbs' are head and shoulders above PS. both coaches called a good game. If we end up playing tulane they will kill our pass D with their accuracy and inside crossing routes. playing memphis at memphis will be a real challenge.

IMO Willie Fritz is a very good coach. if RL fails this year maybe we should make a run at him..

Just saw that Stanford down 0-29 to Colorado came back to win in 2nd overtime last night. Game actually finished early morning today. Love it!

Hopefully that win by Tulane will get them ranked. Only loss to Ole Miss and without Pratt. Now we win out and beat Tulane in CCG. What a wonderful world that would be.

Obviously an incredibly exciting game but reinforces (for me at least) why I'm glad SMU didn't end up in the PAC. As an east coaster, i read about that game and watched some highlights this a.m. If our Mustangs had been playing, I would be one tired old man this morning because I would have stayed up well past my bedtime to watch! As much as I was interested to see what our future conference mate Stanford would do against the well publicized Colorado Buffaloes, I wasn't interested enough to be watching at 2:00 a.m.

I felt before the season kicked off that we would lose at least one regular season AAC game and possibly 2. Winning at Memphis will be tough, that's for sure and if we are able to reach the championship game against (most likely) Tulane, it will be a tall order to beat them. Our guys talk about wanting to dominate their opponents every week. Color me skeptical that we have enough talent to do that. I'm hopeful, but agree this team will need to improve, especially on offense to win out.

Well, you can only show the Stockyards and the Water Gardens so many times...there is Southwestern Seminary (with a security fence surrounding the campus now), and the Federal Storage and Reserve Facility nearby...

So yeah, I guess you could go all Amon G Carter on the idea of Dallas being "East Ft. Worth"...
