Willis and McCoy - QB's of the year

Postby Sam I Am » Sat Oct 14, 2006 5:03 pm

The freshman QB's at UT and SMU have found themselves and the rest will be history. McCoy and willis will eventually be compared to each other. Willis is that good now.

Ark Pony, Lowery just made his third interception-under 3 minute left-we can run it out. We're on their 20. Marshall has one time out.

Another turnover for Marshall

Postby Sam I Am » Sat Oct 14, 2006 5:05 pm

Marshall has self-destructed with another turnover. At the 29 yard line, do we run out the clock or score?

team well prepared and well coached today. we did indeed make good adjustments at half. other than the one TD drive in the second half, they really showed nothing.

Let's all ask Stallion after the game how he likes our "unproven" freshman quarterback. Oh, he still is upset about Chris Phillips.

Willis and Lower do it all.

Postby Sam I Am » Sat Oct 14, 2006 5:07 pm

4 TD passes by Willis, and Lowery gets 3 interceptions. It doesn't get any better than this.

SMU is 4-3. Where are the bowl scouts now?

story of this game is Willis (20-23, 208 , 4 TDs to 4 different guys, 34 yds rushing including a crucial scamble for 1 yd to avoid a 6 yd sack on the go ahead drive)

Good to have him back on the field

that's why the guys who actually know a lot about recruiting and coaching are actually recruiting and coaching for a living, not posting to message boards.

but his comment the other day about time being of the essence because he's old and doesn't have forever to see it turn around made me laugh. i hope he enjoyed today's game, truly.
