What P5 program is coming after Morris after two straight blowouts against Navy?

What P5 fan base is going to be happy when they look at SMU performances the second half of each of the last two years?

Didn't come to play on either side of the ball. Offense or defense.

Offensively, the trick play was an absolute awful call.

Defensively, we actually ran a few three man fronts against an option and just left too many gaps. Happened on the third and long that they converted early, for example. Like butter. Onu and Clemons have made zero plays. Especially Onu - nothing from him, he is arm tackling instead of putting a shoulder into anyone. Both of their turnovers were just horrible plays by Navy. Players aren't disciplined to their assignments - nobody is taking QB, they are all taking the pitch. Our DEs are running wide of the OT to avoid contact and free up to the outside, and leaving a big gap between DE and DT that the QB is running through. You have to take on the block get physical and take away the crease. We aren't doing it.

This game is embarrassing, and we shouldn't lose by 50 to Navy in year three. Period.

The defense rallied and played more physical against Cincy in the second half. Let's see if they turn some things around here.

Morris hasn’t recruited Defense well. He hasn’t recruited for QB well either. If we played the normal out of conference schedule we would have 4 wins

I hear we are close on 4 more TE prospects, though. LOoK at the positives.

Is rather replace the 11 guys on defense rather than our QB.

It makes absolutely no sense. Have you watched the guy play QB. Why not concentrate on the 20 or so other players screwing up including the damn holder that can't even flip the laces

I agree. Despite the fact that he is paying too much attention to the line when it isn't breaking down, Hicks isn't the issue here. Nobody showed up in the first half. Both sides of our line are not physically engaging Navy. Playing really soft and getting whipped because of it.

Awesome! We are about to give up most yards in Navy history by end of Q3.

You can hardly judge Gillins' passing the little time he has played this year. At least he could run out of trouble.

Pretty sure Gillens could make a pass as bad as that.
