We took OU off our schd? Are you some sort of Bleacher Report starter kit? We signed a five game series with them in '96 or some such. The final game of the series is next year in FT Worth. Our record in the previous four? 2-2 with both our wins in Norman.

The hate is strong in you.

The whole point of the matter is had OU been on your schedule chances are TCU would not have gone to a BCS bowl.

And hey, didn't TCU get beat one week after one of those wins vs. OU in Norman by some school they had no business losing to that year? Oh yeah, that was us!

Indeed. And we would have gone to a BCS Bowl that year except for that. Again in '08, even after losing to OU, we would have gone to a BCS Bowl had we not lost to Utah in the last minute.

OU has never had anything to do with us going to the BCS and we certainly never ducked them like Tech did us or Baylor did you guys.

Yes, they did have something to do with you going to a BCS bowl. Bottom line is even though you were not trying to duck them of they had played TCU the last 2 years and beaten TCU you would not have gone to a BCS bowl. That's the bottom line no matter how you try to spin it.

You are assuming they would have won. Neither of those two Sooner teams were particularly scary. We were certainly the better team last year. Judging the way BYU handled them the year before and the way we rolled BYU, I think we would have been fine then as well. Keep hatin!

They were better than Oregon State or Clemson.

I don't want to play A&M. They are the ones trying to kill our recruiting by inviting SEC teams into Texas. I say we should nix that series and play someone that wants Texas kids to play in Texas. What do you think?

Once this re-alignment is complete, whichever way it may end up & by chance we don't make it, why would the Aggie$ or anyone of the bcs-BS teams (in Texas) play us? We're competition for recruits which are the life blood of any program. If I was in their shoes, I'd write us off, too, & everybody else that is non-AQ in Texas.

It's not - will we play them but will they play us?

Hard to argue with that sentiment, but I think it would be great if no Texas schools would play Aggie....THAT would hurt their recruiting. I say boycott aggie!!!

They want to play us for the exposure in the DFW area. All schools covet DFW recruits.

Totally agree - probably go so far as any Texas AQ-team.

Franklly, it's going to be tough to survive unless the non-AQ members start to stand up & fight the cartel but I'm sure as $%## ain't holding my breath.

Couple of posters have brought up the idea of the non-cartel members work with FOX about an alternative network & - don't play the cartel members. Now that would be interesting. After all - how else do they get those easy wins??? LOL!!! Perhaps that is a solution to consider? Remember the new upstart AFL & how the 'old' NFL had to finally reckon with them? Got to try something vs. dying a slow death!

Boss' - "They want to play us for the exposure in the DFW area. All schools covet DFW recruits."

If that was the case, they would have been playing us for the last 15 years. Don't buy it. Same with Texas. I think the DFW area is way over emphasized or we would have kept these rivalries. Quite frankly, we ain't that important or they would have been first in line to make those dates with our athletic dept.

You never play your enemies - you starve them out.
