Hey 65, do you see it now? 2 or 3 of my posts on the previous page
should be showing up too now.
Thanks for the heads up.

No problem...they're there now. Very nice! My father was on the sidelines cheering on the Mustangs during that 1948 Cotton Bowl Classic! I appreciate you posting that especially today (July 29) since it's his birthday. I just wish he was still around. He, Doak and Kyle are having many discussions about SMU football now. HAPPY B'DAY, DAD!

My guess would be the Dave Smith era. I think our prominent color was red then, and it is not from the Bennett era (which is also red) I do not think. Most other fairly recent times (1968 and up) have been primary blue have they not?

If you haven't seen it before, then my first thought may be right-it is new. Frost Bank hasn't been an SMU sponsor that long.

I did not know that Frost Bank still existed. I figured they had been bought out like everyone else.

They are on the SMU Athletics homepage.

Is that the same place that sports the countdown clock?

Dennis Partee kicks winning field goal in the last seconds against Baylor
in 1966 on the way to the SWC Championship.

Yes!!!
I can still remember that game from the upper deck at the Cotton Bowl.
In the 5th grade that year & what a game!!!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
