Re: From ACCIf the ACC doesn't happen for Stanford, Cal & SMU I would not be surprised to see that Pacific American Conference come together pretty quickly (especially if the CFP decides only 5 auto invites as the Pacific American would easily be able to assemble the 5th strongest conference). I just want our guys to beat La Tech soundly so we can have something to feel good about

Re: From ACCJust to backtrack and review...
We are dead per our own deeds, and the ncaa's heavy hand... We are left for dead by political chicanery in the demise of the SWC and the birth of the Big 12... We wallow for years with poor leadership and a series of coaches that are sent to a gun fight with Barney Fife's one bullet... We survive, barely, within moribund conference affiliations...and by the grace of some major contributors... We are teased by the Big 12 when it expands, but without joy... We have an opportunity to join an established P-5 conference on the West Coast, only to see it implode in a matter of weeks... And now, with an invitation looming to yet another P-5 conference, a major hurricane and a horrific tragedy are a part of the latest narrative of SMU football. I think we contact Hallmark Channel and get them to start the storyboard. I want a happy ending to this long, LONG tale. stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse

Re: From ACC
We would need to return to our home town, reconnect with our ex who is now a super hot conference, yet inexplicably still single and looking. Sparks fly as we find we truly do belong together, since we have so much in common. And there's an annoying kid who is supposed to provide comic relief, but never does. My thoughts on the Iron Skillet if you are interested. https://harrisonshome.blogspot.com/2023 ... -iron.html "Once the number 3, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Re: From ACC
So funny and so ignorant all at the same time. And scary that they put these fools on as national media.
Re: From ACCThese might be the same fools posting on the AAC board.
Re: From ACC
Gotcha. I was giving credit for those last SWC years. One of my favorite memories from that time was one of our defensive lineman straight out punching a ut offensive lineman right in the junk at Ownby and dropping him. So great. Haha!!
Re: From ACC
The Big 12 dunderheads and haters keep going on about how there is no evidence that any votes have "flipped." Isn't it strange how gleefully they represent any negative spin on SMU? Anyone with any knowledge of how major institutions work would understand that the commissioner had the votes on Monday night or he wouldn't have called for a gathering of the schools. What we don't know right now is how or if the backroom forces opposed to expansion have used the delay resulting from the shooting, the hurricane, and now the Wednesday CFP meeting to their advantage. As Mustang fans we have the right to be total paranoids.
Re: From ACC
First, I completely agree with you. Second, I sure hope someone is using this day--today--that the ACC COMMISSIONER IS IN DALLAS to show him some SMU love.
Re: From ACCAdd to your Hallmark list, on the day of the vote, a shooting at UNC, then on the next day a major hurricane in Florida, then the next day GA, SC and NC. Maybe God doesn't want this to happen. Who knows. If the Big XII wanted to screw up these plans all they'd have to do is offer SMU a membership at zero TV revenue for 7 years. Then they'd get to split $31.5 Million per year among themselves for 7 years. Instead all they can do is throw stones. Gosh, I hope we win this weekend BIG.
