I bet they bring a small pep band, and don't march at halftime just like 2 years ago.

You know when you get a three page post on bands that it is time for the season to get started.

Two words that all SMU fans should memorize for the TT game: NO TORTILLAS!

Guys, seriously. There's no comparison.

And this, btw, is stupid.

WreckEm: The clothes don't necessarily make the band...the quality of the music does! And The Mustang Band could play circles around the TT band...hands down! As for the "Mr. Peppermint" uniforms, those have been mothballed for quite some time, I believe. And there's a reason that the Mustang Band is called "The Best Dressed Band in the Land"! When I see 'em take the field, it's like seeing a Brooks Brothers fashion show...NOTHING BUT CLASS!

We usually whip out hte candystripe jackets once a year for tradition sake. It's funny how the only thing people can ever come up with is to ridicule a jacket that we (proudly) wear once a year. Look at the tech band. They just look so "cool".

Yeah, nothing cooler than looking like you work at Pancho's. Hey Wreck 'Em 16, Where are my Sopapillas? And yes, it's stupid but then again, who cares? It's football season and it's all in fun, so get over it.

Personally, I think the Mr. Peppermint jackets look flat-out cocky. It's a unique tradition, and we should continue to pull them out once a year, if not more.
