This coming from the poster who said I wasn't a 'true fan' several weeks ago!
I guarantee you that there are folks who are fans of U-T, aTm, OU and other schools who feel the same way as we do about football. I've met 'em! But see...you probably wouldn't even THINK of telling those fans the same thing you'd say on here.
Some of us know how to have a life.

Worldstang understand your problem. My wedding is Oct. 22nd and got lucky that it is Tulsa away so I won't have to miss a home game. God knows I would have been screwed

Jtstang, are you short of "bad mouthing" material.. Surely you know these posts are in jest. Go ahead and just use the standard "SMU sucks" until we lose again. You seem to be looking far too hard for something to gripe about.

Your posts from several weeks ago speak for themselves, and your fandom can be adjudged on them without my further input. As for those other schools' fans, if they care about their teams more than their spouse, I say the same things to them. I don't post on their boards, so you may pass my message along.

Tough weekend. Played castle architect/contractor for about 25 5-year old fairy princesses at a birthday party. The only one who had it worse than me was the unicorn.

Stallion: Here, here.
Also, with regard to the title of this thread, I have two words: Not likely. It would be nice, but I think in the 20s will be a huge accomplishment, especially since we have not yet had 20k of our own fans in attendance this year, or last year for that matter.

I haven't missed a home game yet this season, jt. And don't plan on missing one. Season tickets in hand.
You, on the other hand, have publicly stated that you will *not* be attending any games, at home or on the road. Yep...that speaks volumes.
My posts of several weeks ago still stand: FIRE COPELAND!

If it's just not so important, why do you spend so much of your time predicting doom and gloom?
And it IS that important!
And I'd like the powers-that-be at PonyFans to pass a new law: all future weddings for PonyFans (and their friends who expect us to show up) should be scheduled either between signing day and spring ball, or over the summer.
All other illegally scheduled unions are to be considered null and void.

One thing that should have been a premonition to the ending of my marriage (even before we got married) was me being much more interested in sports than he was. It was pretty sad when he preferred working on Saturdays and any other day/evening when any sort of college/pro sporting event was televised, in town rather than watching/attending games with me.
