On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Evidently the original Yale blue is no longer a color that is made. Supposedly Navy blue is the closest to it. One would have to assume that Yale now uses Navy blue too.

For what it's worth, I've heard some of the players like the current uniforms.

I do miss the tear away Jerseys. I was referring to the heavy nylon mesh uniforms from that time. My high school jersey is a half shirt that was the heavy nylon mesh. Definitely not tear away. As a side note, what year were the tear away jerseys outlawed?

Also, it is hard to have fond memories of sucking as* at football since we were Pye'd. I will hold onto my early memories of Ford, Carter, Dickerson, Dupard, and of course everyone's favorite apartment room mate Albert Reese.

I also delude myself into remebering selected plays here and there and even "great" moments like tying A&M, beating TCU this year and that acewhipping of San Jose St. last year. Of course, this is like me remembering the few good shots I made today while playing golf and overlooking the fact that I shot a 112 or was it 113?

We should get together and play some golf...sounds like we have a similar handicap...can't play worth a sh*t, but hey it's fun to get out on the course away from it all and try to beat the crap out of that little white ball.

Y'know, am a fan of the new unis, although breaking out the Mania-era white helmets would be a lot of fun. Fact is, it's hard to say we have much history with any hat/uni scheme. My opinion, btw, is somewhat tainted, as I was the guy who switched on the Miami game Saturday--my reactions were 1) who the hell is that? and 2) gosh, they look GREAT! But then, I always liked that hurricane flag theme in the Tulsa logo, as well.

You know, Yale's football team seems to wear navy blue. But if you go to an academic convocation, their doctoral robes are powder blue. So I guess Yale blue is any shade of blue you want it to be. Sort of like when TCU put lavender uniforms out there and called it purple.

I had been neglecting my game for a while. I had not been out since Feb so the front nine was bad. Finished up with a 49 on the back nine. Then played in a scramble yesterday. Actaully had several usable drives and hit 9 greens which is darn good for me. When I play regularly I am a low 90s kinda guy. Lessons are no fun. Last time I took those I was 10. Back when I was younger and could play all summer long I actually shot a 76 so I not totally out of control out there. Though I do enjoy hitting the occasional house.

Is that wrong? Because god knows I've smashed out a few windows with an errant tee shot.
