I feel a 5-6 state championship year coming on.
Maybe Stallion could get us an injunction against the CUSA to declare our Marshall game a victory, and make us bowl elgible if we beat UTEP? ![]()
4-6 got us the Sun Bowl about 1963In the old days if our wins were over the right teams, we could got to play in the Sun Bowl. Back to the future!

Title game on 11/16 with UTEPThe schedule maker is a genuis. We play UTEP for the state title in Div. 11-1A on Saturday. Will Gov. Clements be there to present the trophy? Is that tarnished old thing still stored in the DP dungeon? Free Willie!

so who is going to join me in my suite this Saturday for the championship.........Stallion (bring coeds) jtstang (bring attitude) ponypride (bring debate skills) mrydel (bring christmas cheer) nacho (bring personality) letterman (bring top ten list) MrT (bring yourself) alex lifeson (bring enthusiasm) MrMustang1965 (bring laptop so you can post)
Thanks for the invite. Other obligations are going to force me to miss this one much to my dismay. But with no offense intended, I never could enjoy a game from the suites, even at Texas Stadium. Can't get into the game and enjoy the feel of the crowd (insert joke here). But thanks again and have a happy Thanksgiving and root the ponies to victory.
you know UTEP is playing for a Championship too next week-the CUSA West and a berth in the CUSA Championship. If UTEP loses Tulsa with their season complete would qualify for the CUSA Championship game. I would think that this is gonna spike the attendance to this game a pretty substantial amount. Get your tickets early!!!!!! BTW does anybody have a Golden Bible sitting around the house?
Hey Special Delivery boys- I just posted on the Tulsa Rivals board that there is a Championship Watching Party at Ford Stadium next Saturday at 2:00. Told them a bunch of Ponyfans.com posters meet there. Hey we need all the support we can get.
Thanks for including me in this austere grouping. I'll be in my season ticket seats OUTSIDE of the suites so that I can make some NOISE!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
I did not get to see the SMU game, I was at the 25th Anniversary party of the Capital Club (I was a charter member). Those guys are still as wild as the days when no young woman of virtue (or no virtue) was safe. I must say the cleavage has really improved since I was a member, whoa. Mrs. EastStang bought a new incredibly slinky outfit, and we had a great night.
Eaststang....bring her to the suite on Saturday....did not mean to leave you out as well as pk.....we will open the windows and throw the empties down on anyone not cheering..............
I appreciate the thought, but my 'tude and I will be out of town for the holiday weekend (along with the UT redhead girlfriend). However, at the risk of sounding too sunshiney, I will be cheering on the Mustangs from San Antonio in the hopes of bringing home the State Championship. Maybe having something positive to play for, even if it is a contrived goal trademarked by Stallion Sports Marketing, LLC, will inspire these kids and coaches.
Good thing I didn't tell you boys that the mighty 1970 Preston Hollow Elementary Football team coached by the infamous Coach Wilbur Woods -even with 3 future SMU Letterman and even after his immortal pre-game speech- actually lost the Battle for the Franklin Bowl and instead was relegated to the Toilet Bowl!!!!! But now we be styling in our new T-Shirts. Toilet Bowl Champions no more!!!!
AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY
