I would be mad if the school went elsewhere. He is the perfect candidate. As said before, young, energetic, intelligent, and a winner.

Can we somehow clone Phil Bennett as an AD? Great salesman, energetic, hard working, knowledgeable and not afraid to push the administration.
Maybe we should let Bennett hire the next AD.
What I would love to see immediately is to promote Copeland to Executive Athletic Director and hire Phil Bennett as the new Athletic Director. The responsibilities of the Executive Athletic Director are to take big supporters to lunch and dinner. Then when Copeland retires, we eliminate the Executive AD position and hire a new AD to replace Bennett because he does not have time to coach and be AD. In the interim, we hopefully have created a positive direction for SMU athletics, and if not, the new AD can create the direction.
Just send 'da money.

Roy Bailey. SMU alum, strong supporter, Guiliani's business manager.

Yes Romo works with them too. I think the Roy Bailey nomination deserves to be explored!

Three million a year will bring back our track program and five million a year will bring back baseball. Ante up folks. The Mustang Club only raises 33% of that amount. So everyone needs to up their Mustang Club contribution 300%.

An average crowd of 32,000 strong will do much to bring back track and baseball. Of course, that is only possible with media coverage.

No, that is only possible with WINS and media coverage. All the coverage in the world of a 3 or 4 win team will not pack the stands.

Huh? When changes are finally being made to get in more recruits? When the football team is finally mediocre and improving?
