I was not around this weekend, so I am just catching this news.
While I like the progress on the 5-6 season are people really thinking that the TCU win warrants a contract extension?
I would love a job, where I am right/win 30% of the time...and not only do I get an extension, but a raise. Are you kidding me? He is worse than the weatherman.
I like PB and I want him to stay, but I can't wait to hear all of you complain when we start 1-3 next year. Not saying that is going to happen, but the contract extension year should be next year if he goes above .500.

Ok, so some of you are making valid points...
But if one more person goes "PB is a nice guy" I'm gonna choke hold 'em.
I know plenty of nice guys. Should I tell them to send in their resumes for SMU football?
Show me a winning season, Phil. Then I'll jump back on your bandwagon, hell, I'll drive the damn thing!
WHERE'S MY KETCHUP?!?!?!

If I was Turner, I'd be contemplating Copeland's retirement for him.
All Copeland's done in football is fire an NFL level SMU head coach, to hire
a NCAA DIV 1AA coach as head coach because the prior coach didn't
win 1 more game in a season. We were 5-6 that season too.

This is GREAT news for the Ponies!
I was really worried we might lose him to a Pac-10 or SEC school after next season if we go 8-4 (with a bowl victory).
Thanks for staying, Phil!

um....sorry to say, we will still lose him to a Pac-10 or SEC school if they want him, they will just have to pay more money to get him if they want him next year (which I doubt)
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
