We are indeed. lets hope we can break out of that against Air Force.
Because Colorado Springs is in Utah? That's right ponyfans.... it's time for "Know Your Conference-mates" featuring deepellumfrog!
I stand idiotified.. Mea Culpa, don't know what the hell I was thinking!
That adds to the statement, "The only similarity between SMU and TCU is we both got into TCU." huh froggie...
Do you really want to compare the kids who got into TCU vs those who got into SMU (via SAT or ACT avg scores), or the % of applicants accepted? I think you will be surprised at the results. The daddys money kids actually do a little damage.
Finding free online college rankings that are largely based on academics is difficult, these are the only 2 that I could find:
http://www.collegeprowler.com/guides_by_rankings.asp/1
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/colleg ... _brief.php
Feel free to post your sources to support your claim. I'm interested in seeing the numbers.
Now, I assume that TCU folks would rather leave graduate programs out of the discussion, and I wouldn't blame them - that would just make it unfair. I'll see if I can't find anything else on undergrad academics.

Remember the U.S. News and World Report rankings where SMU was 70 and TCU was 105 -- and they dropped eight spots from 97 in 2005.
There's your evidence on which school is superior academically. By the way, the architecture at TCU is hideous.

And that would be your opinion; personally, I love TCU's architecture. I do, however, like SMU's campus better.
Alumni: you'd really be surprised about SMU's Admission's standards--though, that's all I will say concerning that area [if you really want to know, ask around . . . seriously].

Why leave it at we'd be "supprised"? Tell us, o wise one , of the great insider info you have about SMU admissions.

SMU doesn't have strict, strict admissions. It's not a secret.
But those borderliners we let in don't make the GPA to get into Cox, Meadows or Temerlin. They go pull the core GPA down in the psych, sociology and economics departments.
A lot of my friends from high school attend TCU...if I saw myself at their school I would really be embarassed. They weren't the sharpest people I knew. That isn't a rule of thumb for your university...but from my high school the kids who went to TCU were the ones who didn't get into SMU and were a little too smart for UNT and Texas State.

Also, I am sure froggies know a lot of mentally challenged ponies. I was just making an observation and sharing my opinion. I definately don't look down on your university's academics -- but it just so happens that every Frog from the high school I went to wasn't a shooting star in the classroom years back... doesn't mean I think you are all dumb. Just clarifying... I am tired of threads about academics versus TCU whenever they find a WSJ article.

Then you must love cream of botulism soup. There's a certain kind of nausea when looking at pale yellow.

Try living in a family where I went to God's Country, I mean SMU, and my sister went to, well, that other school over there in Ft. Worth represented by the purple horny toadies.
Try being my dad, who graciously paid for both of us to go 5 years apiece. He likes NEITHER school. Of course, if I had the dent he had in his wallet over that time, well, I guess I would too.
Couldn't even persuade him to go to the Halloween game.
Too stuck up w/ his LSU.

OC,
Unfortunately we have to revoke your Mustang privileges since you've confessed to an impure bloodline. Maybe you and Mustangs35SMU can start a TCU chat.
