I'm in agreement with those who believe SMU has to finish 7-5 to go bowling. 6-6 with a loss to UNT and the possibility we only bring 500 fans gets SMU a bid ONLY if CUSA has only 5 qualifiers
The simple fact is that SMU will likely need to join the fray and "buy" a bowl bid. I'm not sure how many tickets the school will be required to buy but generally a 10,000 guarantee will make you attractive. Finding enough people to support the program by purchasing some of those tickets - or finding someone to actually USE them is yet another challenge - but SMU has to decide if there REALLY is a commitment to winning.
