Last I checked it wasn't any Matt Doherty type of coaches just laying around. If Orsini does decide to make a change its no doubt the new coach will win in his first year. I won't have anything to do with his coaching ability but the foundation that PB has started. Give PB some respect. I am in fully agreement that some change needs to be made but I don't think its at the top.

I could not agree with you more, except the Matt Doherty thing. He is here for one reason and one reason only. That is to try and get his name back to the top of the college coaching ranks, but he came to the wrong place to do it. Mediocre at best is what the B-Ball team will do. Mediocre at best!!

Wrong. Doherty will turn it around - and soon.

Nobody thought he was "out there" either and we got him. A similar big hire is out there in football.

Rice turned their football program around in one year with UT, UCLA and Florida State on its schedule.

6-6 is not progress with UNT, Ark. St. and SHSU on the schedule. No way.

Not being able to find a way to punch in with first and goal from the one -TWICE-
is not progress.

Do not let Orsini fool you. he knew Doherty was out there. They were at Notre Dame together?? He has to have players to turn the program around. WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS AT SMU. DO NOT COMPARE THE OTHER SCHOOLS WITH THIS DEATH PENALTY NIGHTMARE. WE NEED TO START SOMETHING AND RUN WITH IT, BECAUSE WHEN WE MAKE CHANGES IN OUR FOOTBALL PROGRAM IT CREATES THE DP TALK ALL OVER AGAIN AND WE START ALL OVER. WE MUST STOP LIVING IN THE DP DAYS. GET SOME PLAYERS WHERE WE CAN PUNCH IT IN FROM THE TWO. WE LOST SAT. WE DID NOT GET BEAT. WE SHOULD HAVE WON BY 14 AT LEAST. THAT IS A LOOSING MENTALITY FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL AND LOOSING CAN BE CONTAIGOUS (SPELLING).

I give Rice's student-atheltes/coaches/adminstration alot of credit that they had a great year. A year that they will talk about for a long time but one season doesn't mean that the football program is turned around.

the only reason the death penalty is still mentioned is because people like you keep mentioning it. I'll say it again, the death penalty has absolutely NOTHING to do with our current problems. Why even mention it?? I dont get it
